Bronchosol is a medicine used for treating coughs, in the form of a syrup, suitable for use in adults and children over 4 years of age. This drug is traditionally used as an expectorant and to stimulate the secretion of fluid mucus in the bronchi. Brochonsol is a traditional herbal medicine, the effectiveness of which is based solely on experience from long-term use.

Active substances: Primulae radix, Thymi herba, Thymolum

Composition

100 ml of syrup contains:

4360 mg of thick compound extract (3: 1) of Thymus vulgaris herb ( Thymus zygis (L) ) and Primula veris root (L) (Primula elatior (L)) (7.6 / 1), ( Extractum compositum spissum ex : Thymi herba et Primulae radice), extraction solvent: water and 19.8 mg of thymol ( Thymolum ).

The product contains not more than 0.5% (m / m) of ethanol.

Action

Expectorant – facilitates expectoration of thick mucus, bronchospasmolytic – expands the lumen of the bronchi, secretolytic – stimulates the secretion of liquid bronchial mucus, antibacterial.

Dosage

Administer orally:

Children 4-6 years of age 2.5 ml 3 times a day; children aged 6-12 years 3 times 5 ml of the drug, adolescents aged 12-18 years 3 times a day for 10 ml, adults 3 times 15 ml of the drug.

Children under 4 years of age: do not use.

Administer the last dose of the drug no later than 3 hours before going to bed. Shake well before use!

Contraindications of Bronchosol

Do not use the drug:

• in hypersensitivity to thymol, primrose, thyme or any component of the syrup, – in hypersensitivity to plants from the Lamiaceae family , also known as labiatae ,
• in children with a history of acute obstructive laryngitis , also in the past, – in asthma.

A single dose of the drug (5 ml) contains about 4.2 g of sugar, which corresponds to 0.35 units of bread.

The preparation contains sucrose, therefore patients with rare hereditary disorders of fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrase-isomaltase deficiency should not take it.

The product contains a small amount of ethanol, less than 100 mg per dose.

It is not recommended for people with symptoms of gastric irritation (nausea) and gastric inflammation and ulcers.

Do not use in children under 4 years of age.

If symptoms worsen, you experience shortness of breath, fever or purulent discharge, consult your doctor.

Pregnancy and lactation
The safety of the product in pregnant and lactating women has not been established. The drug should only be used when, in the physician’s opinion, the benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus.
