Camphor Ointment, Masc Kamforowa 20g
Camphor Ointment (Camphorae unguentum) by Avena is a medicine used as a warming agent in mild muscle pains or neuralgia, and as an aid in colds. The ointment can be used in adults and children over 6 years of age.
Composition
The active substance is camphor ( Camphorum ).
100 g of ointment contains 10 g of camphor.
Excipients: hydrophilic petroleum jelly (cholesterol, stearyl alcohol, white wax, white petrolatum).
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
- The drug is administered externally to intact skin.
Children from 6 to 12 years of age: rub the back with a product in the amount of 50 to 100 mg once a day, i.e. 0.5-1 cm of the ointment squeezed out of the tube
Adolescents and adults: rub the product 1 to 3 times a day into the sore spots, applying 5-10 cm of the ointment squeezed out of the tube, i.e. 1 to 2 g of the drug.
Action
Camphor ointment causes hyperemia of the skin at the application site, causing a warming effect.
Indications
The drug Camphor Ointment is used for:
- muscle pains,
- neuralgia,
- colds (as an aid).
Contraindications
Do not use Camphor Ointment:
- in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the drug,
- on damaged skin,
- in children under 6 years of age.
Side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Camphor Ointment can cause side effects in the form of irritation or dermatitis after repeated rubbing of the drug.
Warnings and Precautions
- Do not apply the camphor ointment product around the face, especially the nose.
- You should immediately consult a doctor if you develop shortness of breath or other disturbing symptoms.
Storage:
- Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
- Store in closed packages, protecting from light at a temperature not higher than 25 ° C.
Use of other medications
