Clotrimazolum GSK is an over-the-counter antifungal cream for topical application to the affected skin. The active substance of the drug is clotrimazole, which has a wide range of antimicrobial activity – it kills most of the fungi that cause infections in humans. After topical application of Clotrimazolum GSK cream to the skin, clotrimazole penetrates the epidermis, inhibiting the growth and division of fungal cells, and changes the activity of microbial cell membranes, especially against yeasts and dermatophytes.

Clotrimazolum GSK can be used for many fungal skin infections, including mycoses of the hands and feet, yeast infections of the skin and mucous membranes of the external genitalia (labia, foreskin and glans), as well as tinea versicolor.

The duration of treatment with Clotrimazolum GSK cream depends on the type of infection, usually it is 2 to 4 weeks with the use of the cream 2 or 3 times a day.
