Composition: Gripex Duo tablets contain two active substances – paracetamol and phenylephrine hydrochloride. Each tablet includes 500 mg of paracetamol and 6.1 mg of phenylephrine hydrochloride, along with various excipients.
Indications: The drug is indicated for the treatment of flu and cold symptoms, offering relief from pain, headache, sore throat, muscle pain, fever, and nasal congestion.
Form: Gripex Duo is available in tablet form, which can be swallowed whole or dissolved in water to create an oral solution.
Application: Intended for use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
Cautionary Information:
Store the product at room temperature, protecting it from moisture and light.
Exercise caution due to the risk of liver damage from paracetamol overdose.
Avoid simultaneous use with other paracetamol-containing products.
Do not use concurrently with drugs reducing nasal congestion or other cold/flu medications.
Alcohol consumption is not advised during treatment.
Consult a doctor before use in cases of liver or kidney issues, vascular occlusive disease, respiratory problems, or if using certain medications.
Not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding individuals.
Contains sorbitol (discuss with a doctor if intolerant to certain sugars) and tartrazine.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug.
Severe liver or kidney failure.
Cardiovascular disorders, arrhythmias, hypertension, diabetes, pheochromocytoma, glaucoma, hyperthyroidism, prostatic hyperplasia, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, or methaemoglobin reductase deficiency.
Use with MAO inhibitors, tricyclic antidepressants, zidovudine, or within 14 days of their use.
Not for use in children under 12 years old and those suffering from alcoholism.
Side Effects:
Possible side effects include nausea, vomiting, digestive disorders, anorexia, allergic reactions, blood pressure changes, anxiety, restlessness, tremors, insomnia, irritability, dizziness, headache, and hallucinations.
Rare cases of severe skin reactions and liver damage have been reported.
Additional Notes:
The drug may be toxic to the kidneys in rare cases, especially with chronic use.
People taking Gripex Duo should exercise caution when driving or operating machinery.
Contains less than 1mmol (23 mg) sodium per tablet.
