Hasco ointment for corns contains active substances:
- salicylic acid
- and S-lactic acid
- and auxiliary substances – melilot patch and lanolin.
The imprint ointment has a keratolytic (exfoliating) effect, softens and loosens the callous epidermis, facilitating its exfoliation and has local anti-inflammatory properties.
Intended use
Removal of corns.
Active substance: Acidum lacticum, Acidum salicylicum
Composition of Hasco Ointment for Corns
1 g of ointment contains: | 400 mg of salicylic acid |
100 mg of (S) -lactic acid | |
The other ingredients are: melilot patch, lanolin. |
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor, pharmacist or nurse. Check with your doctor, pharmacist or nurse if you are not sure.
The drug is intended for topical use on corns.
Soak and dry the impression. Apply a thin layer of ointment to the impression and secure with a plaster or bandage. Use the drug for 4 to 6 days in the morning and at night, without washing the smeared areas with water.
Then the imprint should be well soaked in hot water and removed. Do not cut or tear off the prints. If no effects are obtained, repeat the treatment after 3 days.
Contraindications
Do not use Corn Ointment:
- if you are allergic to salicylic acid, lactic acid or any of the other ingredients of this medicine,
- if the skin around the print is damaged or inflamed,
- in patients with diabetes or circulatory disorders,
- in children.

Warnings
Talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse before using Corn Ointment.
Treatment should be discontinued if signs of skin irritation or sensitization develop.
The medicine should only be applied to the impression. Do not use the drug on unchanged healthy skin or damaged skin, as systemic side effects of salicylic acid may occur. Avoid contact of the ointment with the eyes and mucous membranes.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. The safety of the drug has not been studied in pregnant and lactating women.
Interactions with other drugs
There are no known interactions resulting from the local and short-term use of the drug in accordance with the indications and recommended method of use.
Tell the doctor or pharmacist about all the drugs taken by the patient now or recently, as well as about the drugs that the patient is planning to take.
Side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Using the drug in accordance with the indications and recommended dosage is not associated with a significant risk of side effects.
Occasionally, local irritation and symptoms of skin hypersensitivity may occur.
