Ichthyol Ointment, Masc Ichtiolowa 10% 20g

Ichthyol Ointment by Amara is a drug for external use on the skin in eczema, furunculosis, acne.

Ammonia bituminosulfonatis unguentum FP 10%.

Composition

The active substance is ammonium sulfobitumate.
100g of ointment contains 10 g of ammonium sulfobitumate.

Excipients:  yellow petrolatum, lanolin.

Dosage

Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.

• A drug for external use.

Lubricate the affected skin 1-2 times a day. Wash your hands after use.

Action

Ichthyol ointment has antibacterial and astringent properties.

Intended Use

• Eczema,
• Furunculosis,
• Acne – as a bacteriostatic agent and facilitates the removal of pus.

Contraindications

When not to use the preparation:

• if the patient is hypersensitive to any of the ingredients of the preparation,
• on damaged skin.

Side effects

Like all medicines,  Ichthyol Ointment can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

The drug may cause skin irritation, in which case you should stop using it.

Warnings and precautions

In the case of purulent skin lesions, consult a doctor before use.

Ichthyol ointment contains lanolin, which may cause local allergic reactions.

Avoid contact with the eyes.

• Store the medicine below 25°C, protected from light.
• Keep the medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
