Lipomal Syrup 125g
Lipomal Syrup with linden extract and raspberry flavor is a medicine containing dry extract of linden inflorescence, suitable for children from 1 year of age. Linden quisatostane is traditionally used as a mild diaphoretic. The dry extract of linden inflorescentia contained in Lipomal syrup comes from the plants Tilia cordata Miller, Tilia platyphyllos Scop., Tilia vulgaris Heyne or mixtures thereof. It can be used as an aid in colds, throat inflammations or in coughs. The effectiveness of the syrup is based solely on long-term use and experience.
Symptoms
Lipomal is used:
- traditional: as a mild diaphoretic in feverish conditions.
- auxiliary: in colds, throat inflammations and cough.
Composition
5 ml of syrup contains:
- active substances: 97.089 mg of extract (as dry extract) of Tilia cordata Miller, Tilia platyphyllos Scop., Tilia vulgaris Heyne or their mixtures, inflorescentia (linden inflorescence) (6-7: 1), including 85% of native extract,
- extraction solvent ethanol 40% V / V,
- the other ingredients are: maltodextrin, sucrose, sodium benzoate (E211), citric acid, xanthan gum, raspberry flavor AR0320, purified water.

Effects
As a mild diaphoretic in feverish conditions.
Dosage
Always take this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.
- Children aged 1-3 years: use only after consulting a doctor, usually 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of syrup, 2-3 times a day.
- Children aged 3-12: 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of syrup, 4-5 times a day.
- Adolescents over 12 years of age and adults: 1 tablespoon (10 ml) of syrup 3-4 times a day.
- The drug should be taken orally.
Contradictions
- Allergy to linden inflorescence or to any of the other ingredients of this drug.
- Do not give the drug to children who are not yet 1 year old.
Storage
Keep Lipomal out of the sight and reach of children, at a temperature of up to 25ºC. Do not freeze.
Side Effects
This medicine, like any other medicine, can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
- Data on adverse effects are lacking.
- If you get any side effects (including side effects not listed in the package leaflet), talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Interactions
- Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all the drugs you are taking or have recently taken, and about all the drugs you plan to use.
- Interactions of Lipomal with other drugs are not known.
Warnings and Precautions
- If the fever persists after 3 days or exceeds 39ºC, contact your doctor.
- Also, in the event of dyspnea or purulent discharge, consult a doctor.
- Lipomal syrup contains sucrose. A dose of 5 ml of syrup contains 4 g of sucrose, i.e. 0.4 bread unit, and a dose of 10 ml of syrup contains 8 g of sucrose, i.e. 0.8 bread unit. If the patient has an intolerance to some sugars, the use of the drug should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist.
Use in children and adolescents
- The drug can be used in children from 1 year of age.
- If in doubt, and before using the drug in children aged 1-3 years, consult a doctor.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility
- Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you think you are pregnant or if you plan to have a baby.
- There are no specific data on the effects of Lipomal on pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility.
Driving vehicles and operating machinery
- The drug is considered safe.
- It does not impair psychophysical fitness, the ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery.
