This oil is extracted from carefully selected seeds of Egyptian black cumin (Nigella Sativa). Black seed oil is characterized by a high content of unsaturated fats. Additionally, it naturally contains essential oils (including thymoquinone – approximately 0.8%) and vitamin E. Substituting saturated fats in the diet with unsaturated fats helps maintain a proper cholesterol level in the blood (monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids are unsaturated fats). Linoleic acid (LA) helps maintain a proper cholesterol level in the blood. The beneficial effect occurs with the consumption of 10 g of LA per day.
Modern technology, ensuring a low oil pressing temperature (up to 40ºC) without the refining process, allows preserving the most valuable active ingredients of the oil.
Egyptian black seed oil is characterized by an intense taste and aroma, described as sharp, bitter-spicy. Culinary-wise, it pairs well with mozzarella cheese, basil, tomatoes, eggs, and broccoli. Ideal for soups, salads, stewed vegetables, and bread.
Recommended consumption:
For direct consumption, take 1 teaspoon (4 g) per day, preferably during meals. It is not recommended to heat the oil.
For those with limited tolerance for the intense taste of the oil, we recommend:
– Diluting black seed oil with another milder-tasting cold-pressed oil, e.g., flaxseed, milk thistle, evening primrose
– Dividing the serving of 1 teaspoon into smaller portions, e.g., 2 x 0.5 teaspoons per day
Storage method:
It’s essential to store the oil in a dark, cool place, and after opening, keep it in the refrigerator. In low temperatures, the oil may become cloudy and thicken. This is a natural, fully reversible process that does not affect the quality of the product.
