Paracetamol Biofarm 500mg (20 Tablets)

Paracetamol Biofarm (20 Tablets) contains the active substance paracetamol, which has an analgesic and antipyretic effect.

Paracetamol does not irritate the stomach.

Indications

• Pain of various origins and of mild to moderate intensity, especially such as:
  • headaches;
  • migraines;
  • rheumatic pains;
  • joint, muscle and bone pain;
  • backaches;
  • neuralgia;
  • menstrual cramps;
  • toothache.
• Fever (e.g. in the course of colds and / or flu).

Active substance: Paracetamolum

Composition of Paracetamol Biofarm

The active substance	One tablet contains 500 mg of paracetamol.
the other ingredients	pregelatinized maize starch, povidone K30, crospovidone A, croscarmellose sodium, microcrystalline cellulose, stearic acid 50, magnesium stearate.

Dosage

• Adults and adolescents from 12 years of age
  • 1 to 2 tablets (500 mg to 1000 mg paracetamol).
  • If necessary, the dose may be repeated no more than every 4 hours, up to 4 times a day.
  • The maximum daily dose is 8 tablets (4,000 mg paracetamol).
• Use in children and adolescents
  • Children from 6 to 12 years of age
  • Half or one tablet (no more than 10-15 mg paracetamol / kg body weight)
  • If necessary, the dose may be repeated not more frequently than every 4 hours, up to a maximum of 4 times a day.
  • The maximum daily dose of paracetamol: 60 mg paracetamol / kg body weight / day, administered in divided doses as above.
• Children from 3 months to 6 years of age
  • This medicine should not be given to children under 6 years of age. Medicines containing paracetamol in a pharmaceutical form for use in children are available for this group of patients.

Paracetamol Biofarm should not be used regularly for more than 3 days without consulting a doctor.

The lowest possible effective dose should be used.

Do not use more than the recommended dose.

Method of administration

The drug is administered orally.
The tablet should be swallowed with a little liquid (preferably boiled water). Taking this medicine with food may delay the time it takes to work.
The tablet can be divided into equal halves.

Use of the drug in children and adolescents

This medicine should not be given to children under 6 years of age. For children of this age, other medicines containing paracetamol intended for children are available.

Contraindications

Do not use Paracetamol Biofarm:

• if you are allergic to paracetamol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine;
• if you have severe liver problems;
• if you have severe kidney problems;
• if you suffer from alcoholism.
