Sachol Dental Gel 10g
Sachol dental gel possesses local anti-inflammatory, analgesic and disinfecting properties. These effects are the result of the activity of the individual components of the drug:
- choline salicylate – provides local anti-inflammatory effect and weaker analgesic activity,
- cetalkonium chloride – enhances the analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect of the gel,
- methyl parahydroxybenzoate and propyl parahydroxybenzoate – have a disinfecting effect.
SYMPTOMS
Sachol is indicated for topical use:
- in inflammation of the oral mucosa,
- in erosions and ulcers of the mouth,
- in inflamed gums,
- in periodontal diseases.

COMPOSITION
Active substances | 1 g of gel contains: 87.1 mg of choline salicylate (Cholinisalicylas) and 0.1 mg of cetalkonium chloride (Cetalkoniichloridum) |
the other ingredients | methyl parahydroxybenzoate and propyl parahydroxybenzoate, as well as other excipients: hydroxyethyl cellulose, glycerol, anise oil, ethanol 96%, purified water. |
DOSAGE
Sachol dental gel should be used 2 to 3 times a day.
Application method:
- A small amount of gel should be applied to the affected area and rubbed lightly for about 2 minutes. After using the preparation for about half an hour, you should not drink or eat any food, so as not to neutralize the effect of the drug. Immediately after application, the gel remains on the surface of the oral mucosa for several minutes.
Sachol should be used in accordance with its intended purpose, according to the manufacturer’s instructions. If in doubt, check with your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.
Do not use a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
CONTRADICTIONS
Allergy to choline salicylate, cetalkonium chloride, other salicylates or any of the excipients.

WARNING
Before using Sachol for the first time, consult your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.
- Short-term, transient burning may occur immediately after applying the gel topically.
- The medicinal product should not be used in children under 3 years of age. In older children, the gel may only be applied on the recommendation of a doctor. Due to the content of methyl parahydroxybenzoate and propyl parahydroxybenzoate, the drug may cause allergic reactions (possible delayed reactions).
Pregnancy and lactation
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
No studies have been conducted to determine the time and degree of choline salicylate absorption into the body after topical application of the gel to the oral mucosa. Nevertheless, salicylic acid derivatives are contraindicated in the third trimester of pregnancy because they may cause perinatal complications.
Salicylic acid derivatives are excreted in breast milk and their use is not recommended during breastfeeding.
INTERACTION WITH OTHER DRUGS
There is no risk of drug interactions when using the product topically in accordance with the recommended posology. Only in the event of significant overdose and the appearance of symptoms of the general effects of choline salicylate should be taken into account that it acts synergistically with other anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and analgesic drugs.
SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, Sachol dental gel can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
General disorders and conditions at the site of administration: short-term, transient burning may occur.
