Strepsils Lemon and Honey (36 Lozenges)

Strepsils with honey and lemon moisturizes the irritated mucosa, providing quick relief from a sore throat. The drug used in inflammation of the throat and mouth has antibacterial and antiviral properties.

Benefits

Symptomatic treatment of inflammation of the mouth and throat.

Composition

One hard tablet contains:

• active substances: 1.2 mg of 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol and 0.6 mg of amylmetacresol,
• other ingredients are: honey, oil, peppermint oil, citric acid, tartaric acid, quinoline yellow (E104), glucose syrup, sucrose syrup.

Action

The drug has an analgesic and antiviral effect.

Dosage

• Adults and children over 6 years of age: slowly suck one lozenge every 2-3 hours.
• Do not take more than 8 lozenges a day. If symptoms persist or worsen after 3 days, consult your doctor.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to the active substances or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
• Do not use in children under 6 years of age.

Storage

• Store below 25°C.
• Keep the drug out of the sight and reach of children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
• Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste.
• Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicines no longer needed. Such behavior will help to protect the environment.

Side effects

• This medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
• The drug may cause allergic reactions.

Interactions with other drugs

So far, no clinically significant interactions of Strepsils with honey and lemon with other drugs are known.

Warnings and Precautions

• Before using Strepsils with honey and lemon, consult your doctor if you suffer from: diabetes mellitus (one tablet contains about 2.4 g of sugar), intolerance to certain sugars.
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
• If the patient has been diagnosed with an intolerance to some sugars, the patient should consult a doctor before taking the drug.
