Dosage

Warnings
- In patients with heartburn or hiatal hernia, symptoms may sometimes be aggravated by menthol. In such a situation, the use of the product should be discontinued. Caution should be exercised in patients with peptic ulcer disease or inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract.
- Patients with rare hereditary problems of fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency should not take this medicinal product.
>Usage during pregnancy
- There are insufficient data on the use of menthol and menthyl isovalerate in pregnant women.
- There are no data on the excretion of menthol and menthyl isovalerate in human milk.
- The use of Validol during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended.
Side Effects
After long-term use of the medicinal product, the following undesirable effects may occur, which disappear spontaneously after discontinuation of use:
- local allergic reaction in the oral cavity (contact allergy);
- Hypersensitivity reactions to menthol, with symptoms of headache, bradycardia, muscle tremor, ataxia, anaphylactic shock, skin rash have been reported.
