Zinc Ointment by Amara is an ointment for topical application to the skin. The drug contains the active substance zinc oxide, which has a drying effect.
Intended Use
Auxiliary in mild inflammation of the skin, abrasions of the epidermis and helpful in the treatment of acne.
Active ingredient: Zinc oxidum
Composition
100 g of ointment contains: | 10 g of the active substance zinc oxide |
the other ingredients of the drug are: hydrophilic petrolatum (cholesterol, stearyl alcohol, white wax, white petrolatum). |
Action
A drying and anti-inflammatory agent.
Dosage
The drug is intended for topical application to the skin. Unless your doctor prescribes otherwise, apply a thin layer of ointment with your hands 1-2 times a day on the affected skin surfaces.
Wash your hands thoroughly before and after use. In the case of acne, apply the ointment pointwise. If you have any doubts about the use of the drug, contact your doctor.
Contraindications
Do not use Zinc Ointment:
- if you are allergic to zinc oxide or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
- on damaged skin,
- in acute inflammation of the skin.

The drug is in the form of a white ointment. Packaging: aluminum tube contains 20 g of ointment in a cardboard box.

Warnings
This is medicine. For safety, use it according to the leaflet attached to the package. Do not exceed the maximum dose of the drug. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Stop treatment and contact your doctor if symptoms worsen or do not improve despite the use of the ointment.
When using the drug, avoid contact with the eyes.
It is not recommended to use it on large body surfaces.

Driving
The drug does not affect the ability to drive and use machines.
Interactions with other drugs

Like all medicines, Zinc Ointment can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Consult your doctor if you experience any side effects.
