Hartmann Omniplast

Hartmann Omniplast is a flesh-colored viscose fabric adhesive. It can be used in patients with skin with normal sensitivity. It is suitable for supporting all kinds of dressings and for attaching cannulas, probes, etc.

The Omniplast adhesive adheres well to the skin. At the same time, it is air and water vapor permeable, thanks to which it does not affect its natural functions and does not irritate the epidermis. Moreover, it does not have to be removed in case of X-rays, because it does not absorb X-rays. It has serrated edges that allow for separation without the use of scissors, and which additionally protect the fabric from fraying. Its outer layer has been hydrophobically impregnated, which makes it resistant to unwanted moisture, e.g. when splashed. It is easy to apply, and also easy to remove, because the glue is applied in stripes. It leaves no adhesive residue on the skin when removing.

Instructions

• Make sure the skin is clean and dry before applying the adhesive.
• Then attach the adhesive to the previously applied dressing (prepared probe or cannula) so that it covers the edges of the dressing.
• Thanks to the serrated edges, you can tear off the adhesive without using scissors.
